Why does the home sperm test kit include more than one test?
«Sperm quality naturally fluctuates, so a below-normal result on one occasion doesn’t necessarily mean there’s an underlying issue.
Various factors, including illness, can temporarily affect sperm health. For this reason, we recommend testing your semen quality twice, with at least one week between tests. It’s also beneficial to repeat the test after about a month. This approach is in line with the World Health Organization’s recommendations for sperm analysis.
How does TRT impact on sperm health?
«Tests have shown that Testosterone Replacement Therapy can reduce sperm count. If you are on TRT or considering it, and want to protect your fertility, speak to your Urban TRT doctor who will prescribe you hCG (Human Chorionic Gonadotropin) medication alongside your testosterone therapy. HCG helps to keep the body's hormone production working naturally, especially in relation to sperm production, thus protecting your fertility.
Can ExSeed by used if I've had a vasectomy?
«The ExSeed Home Test is not certified for confirming the complete absence of sperm cells or for evaluating the effectiveness of contraceptive methods, whether temporary or permanent, such as a vasectomy. Therefore, it cannot provide a definitive result in these cases.
However, many men have used ExSeed to gain an indication of whether live sperm cells are still present after a procedure or in similar situations.
Within the app, you can select an option indicating that you’ve had a vasectomy. Doing so prompts our Medical Team to perform an additional, detailed manual review (visual inspection) of your test.
What should I do when I get my test result?
«The app instantly generates a comprehensive health report, which you can share with your doctor to support further discussions about your fertility or any other health issues.
How does the ExSeed test differ from other home sperm tests?
«ExSeed is currently the only at-home sperm test that measures total motile sperm count, a key metric that some other home tests may miss when evaluating common causes of male infertility. The system is designed for easy sharing of results, with your doctor, allowing you to obtain a second opinion on your results.
The ExSeed Home Sperm Test uses microscopy, which is considered the clinical gold standard, and provides a clear recording of your sperm in motion.
The ExSeed customer support team is ready to assist with any issues during testing or if you have concerns about whether the test was performed correctly.
